The Framework Convention of the Climate Change of the People's Climate Change (COP31) will be held in Antalya between 9-12 November 2026 in the home of our country. In this context, the High School Board (YÖK) calls to coordinate academic contributions and project notifications of universities. A preliminary preparation meeting was held on July 31, 2026 at Ardahan University. The event organized with the title of the Sustainableity and Climate Change-oriented Academic Additive and Project Preparatory Meeting in the scope of the “YÖK COP31 Call was held at the Iktisadi and Administrative Sciences Faculty (İİBF) Mart Mustafa Kerimov Conference Hall. In the presentation of Dr. Bilge Mr., COP31’s global scale, the role of universities in the climate diploma and science were detailing the principles of participation in global climate action through research and projects. Mr., who pay attention to the responsibilities undertaken by high school institutions in accordance with the 2053 clear zero emissions goals of Turkey; Mr., who addressed the current research capacity of our university, international business unions and project ideas that can be developed in accordance with COP31 targets. Home Mr. also stated that academic staff can contribute to the peak through poster presentations, workshops, round table meetings and exhibitions; shared with examples of studies in primary areas such as cyclic economy, smart cities and food safety.
Our university has focused on clean energy, green conversion, sustainable development, climate financing and climate change to be addressed under COP31.
