"World Dance Day Events" Conference was Held in our University
Ardahan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, organized by Turkish Folk Games Department, “World Dance Day Events” conference started at Âşık Şenlik Cultural Center on 28-29 April 2026. In the first session of the program where students are participating with academic and administrative staff; a comprehensive presentation was shared on the theoretical structure and application methods of public games. The Emekli Artist Teaching Officer Ahmet Turan Demirfrog discussed the structural resolution of the games with the presentation titled “Corgusal Structure and Analytical Approaches” in the “Halk Games; the Emekli Instructor Cavit Şentürk stressed the importance of technical applications in the field with his lecture on “ Masterity in the Horon Teaching from the Field”. The opportunity to observe participants, theoretical information on the site with the applied local games exhibited under presentations. The artistic process of the first day is completed with the horon show that Giresun University State Conservatory of Turkish Folk Games Department students. On the second day of the event, scientific assessments were conducted on game disciplines and modern noteion techniques of different regions. Turkey Public Games Federation (THOF) Mersin Provincial Representative Ali Örs and Mut Municipality Folk Games Trainer by Hüsnu Yalçın, organized local game work with our students under the workshop work covering local teaching processes. Following these sessions; Giresun University State Conservatory Lecturer Dr. Seren Eravcı transferred his presentation titled Figur Analysis and Training Approaches in the “Silivri Yöresi Games” in the Beautiful Arts School Mirror Hall. The closing of the program, the President of Turkish Folk Games Department of Giresun University State Conservatory. Home By Arda Eravcı, the Faculty of Humanities and Literature (IBEF) Necip Fazıl Shortcut Conference Hall was held with the “Romanotation Dance Memoration Applied Seminar”. Two-day events have been presented to the participants who contributed to the program and ended with the collective photo shoot.
