Millî Technology Workshop Support from TÜBİTAK to Ardahan University

Our university signed an important success by participating in the universities that deserve to support across Turkey within the scope of TÜBİTAK 4003-T Millî Technology Workshops Support Programme. The “National Technology Workshop” project with a total of 30 million TL in our university will be implemented. This important investment is considered a strategic step to strengthen the scientific and technological capacity of Ardahan. Prof. The project that deserves support as a result of the comprehensive preparation and application process carried out in the leadership of Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu aims to strengthen the R&D infrastructure of the university and improve the technology production capacity. Project coordination and implementation processes Rector Assistant Prof. Dr. Yeliz Demir will be carried out and our architect Nursu Çeliksu has also presented significant contributions to the architectural design and planning process of the project. Millî Technology Workshop, which will have a total of 330 square meters closed area, will be configured as a modern technology center that supports design, production and prototype processes integrated. In the center, electronic production modules, mechanical manufacturing areas, software development units, 3B production technologies, laser cutting and CNC systems, robotic and embedded system laboratories, STEM application fields are included. In addition, technical equipment and material supply to be used in project development and prototyping work will be provided within the project scope. After the completion of the required educational processes, the specialist technical staff will employ and provide uninterrupted service throughout the center year. Millî Technology Workshop will be an open production and consulting center not only for university students, but also young entrepreneurs. Students will be able to implement scientific and technological projects with a professional infrastructure support, prepare for national competitions and transform their innovative ideas into prototypes. With this investment, it is aimed to increase the participation of national project calls, at TUBITAK and TEKNOFEST. In the long run, the project will contribute to the growing of qualified human resources, strengthening the entrepreneurship ecosystem and the formation of a sustainable technology infrastructure in Ardahan.
