The Animal Health Research and Application Hospital, which was planned to be established in Ardahan University, was taken into the scope of investment in the Official Gazette dated 15 January 2026. Ardahan’s project aims to bring agriculture and livestock potential with scientific infrastructure is considered a strategic investment that will contribute to regional development. The hospital planned to carry out educational, research and application activities together; besides offering modern diagnostics and treatment opportunities in animal health, it will also create a strong ground for practical education and scientific research. Investing with this direction is aimed at providing important contributions to the academic capacity of our university and the development of regional livestock. Our Rector Prof. Home Öztürk Emiroğlu emphasized that the Animal Health Research and Application Hospital is planned specifically to contribute to the development of the region animal, by specialist academicians in the field of laboratories to be installed in the hospital, he expressed that the investment will be prioritized by scientific solution routes for problems such as infertility and calf deaths in animals in the region. Animal Health Research and Application Hospital, which is projected with a sustainable and energy efficiency-oriented understanding, is planned to meet its own energy needs largely through the Solar Power System (GES). In this context, saving energy to be provided, reducing operating costs, as well as research-development (Ar-Ge) activities are aimed to make scientific studies more efficient. In this context, our Rector Prof. Dr. Ozturk Emiroğlu stated that our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s tensips received this important project, so that our University and city provide them with their gratitudes.
