Your Voice, Your Power: The First Student Assembly Meeting at ARÜ realized with Wide Participation

2025–2026 Academic Year Student Assembly, coordinated by our University’s Guidance and Compliance Office, met university management in a common platform with students who were held first time in university history. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Öztürk Emiroğlu attended our Rector Assistants, Secretary General, decans, heads of apartments, academic-idari staff and numerous students. Rector Prof. Dr. Ozturk Emiroğlu said that the Student Assembly is a “tarihi first” for Ardahan University, where university life is not only composed of lectures; the campus culture, intellectual atmosphere and community awareness are among the fundamental components of higher education, which can freely express students’ opinions, strengthen the understanding of corporate communication and participating management of this new structure, which they can directly communicate with the management. “Senin Sesin, Your Power!”, the theme of the program, expressed that Ardahan University reflected student-oriented approach. During the program, students from different faculty and departments have shared opinions and recommendations on many topics such as education-education processes, transportation services, exam calendar, practical educational needs, dining arrangements, campus security, social and sporty fields, access to classroom materials for students with disabilities of vision. The University management stated that all the titles brought to the language are included in the corporate improvement process; improvement of urban transportation, re-relevance of exam week applications, speeding central dining room and central library projects, strengthening laboratory and application areas, developing sports and event areas, increasing accessibility applications and making corporate solutions on matters such as evaluation of discounts models supporting trades–student relations. During the program, the Student Assembly Evaluation Survey was opened to access via QR code, which is prepared to systematically match student opinions. Thus, the students who can not attend verbally have been able to contribute as long as possible. Our university management announced that the Student Assembly, which has been held for the first time, has aimed to make active participation in the decision-making processes of students. Tags
