Our University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Faculty of Teaching Sciences, Turkey’s Erasmus+ “Stay or Leave” Project in Germany

Ardahan University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Turkish Folk Games Department, Erasmus+ “Stay or Leave” represented Turkey in Germany within the scope of Youth Exchange Project. The project held in partnership with the Entrepreneur Youth and Sustainable City Association (Sırnak) and Freie Bühne Jena Association (Germany) between 2–12 October 2025, our University faculty met Karaman and research officer Zozan Star participated. The semi-structured improvised dance workshop under the project met young participants from Brazil, Germany, Lebanon and Turkey. In this workshop, shaped around the theme of “Mobility (Hareketlik), a physical research process was carried out on how cultural and social norms set the limits of the body. The participants found the opportunity to rethink the relationship of the body with social and cultural structures along with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, discover limits, transform and stage. Our teaching elements that continue their work in the field of dance and culture, Desire Karaman and Zozan Star noted that the project is both a tutorial and an inspiring experience for themselves. Our academicians who express the possibility of intercultural interaction and artistic sharing through Erasmus+ program thank all stakeholders that contribute to long.
