In Science Café, Global Climate Change Ardahan Perspective

The 2nd of the science cafe events organized under the Science Communication Office project conducted by the Directorate of Higher Education was held in Ardahan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Meeting Hall. The theme of the event was “Global Climate Change”. As a speaker at the event, our University Coğrafya Department of Teaching Fellow Ferhat Keserci took place. The event aimed at bringing different segments of society with scientific knowledge, students, academicians, public institutions and local public participation. The main purpose of the event was to attract attention to the global climate change in the world, to evaluate the environmental impact of increased temperatures and to create awareness about water stones with the prescribed temperature increases in the future in Ardahan private. In presentation, attention was taken into account the effects of climate change on agriculture and water sources, possible water crisis in the future. Keserci stressed that climate change can significantly change the water regime in Ardahan, and the necessary measures against the stones are critical. At the end of the program, participants asked questions about water management, agricultural adaptation and measures to be taken on the local scale. The event has ended with the presentation of the thankful document and the mass photo shoot.
