Technical Trip to Posof BOTAŞ from Construction Technology Department Students with Vocational High School Occupational Health and Safety

Ardahan University Technical Sciences Vocational High School (TBMYO) Occupational Health and Safety Department and Department of Construction Technology Department students with Department Heads Dr. Öğr. Mustafa Akgün and Dr. Öğr. With the participation of the member Yeşim Tarhan, Turkey’s leading organization in the energy sector was held at Posof BOTAŞ (Oil Transport Inc. with Pipelines). Visit, Department of Construction Technology Lecturer Dr. Ör. Member Nesrin Dursun and Posof BOTAŞ Public Relations Specialist Furkan Akceylan coordinated. Students who find the opportunity to observe the theoretical information on the field received detailed information about the functioning of the facilities from the Posof BOTAŞ authorities under the trip, pipeline technologies and construction processes. Students of Occupational Health and Safety (ISG) department have the chance to examine the security measures, risk analysis, and how business security culture is reflected in the field. Construction Technology Department students learned from experts about engineering processes and structural properties of large-scale infrastructure projects. This kind of technical activities by faculty members were highlighted that students play very important role in preparing their work after graduation. At the end of the technical trip; after the technical information and field reviews, the program ended with the gifts to the participants of the public photo shoot and BOTAŞ authorities. In this context, he was also thanked for the interest and support of Posof BOTAŞ authorities.
