Our academicians Understand The Ways to Reduce Ice Death Rates in TRT Erzurum Radio
Associate Professor of Vocational School of Health Services. Dr. Cemalettin Ayvazoğlu became the issue of the Year’s Star in TRT Erzurum Radiosu to tell the reason and solution recommendations of calves. Ayvazoğlu is one of the most important problems of our country's livestock, not only our region. In research conducted by our valuable teachers and academicians in various provinces of our country, the calf deaths are between 5% and 40%, and therefore it has been determined to lead to major economic losses in our country. It said that the annual loss is about 16 billion TL. Ayvazoğlu expressed the causes of calf deaths with the following words: “With the umbilical cord such as people, they cannot get the immune substances we call from the mother. Because these substances are not assigned, they are completely sterile; they can immediately and often get to the disease due to negative factors in the barn and environmental conditions. For example, imagine that you absorb your healthy calf immediately after birth, the mother who sucks away from the place; the dirt and infection on the mother's nozzle will pass directly to the puppy with the way of digestion, and defend against the factors he received can not fight without the immune system. The transition period is 3 weeks before and after birth; it is the most important period for both mother and calf. In particular, after childbirth, the postpartum period has undergone literature as the period we live most. During this period; frequent disease and diarrhea constructive 4 factors and environmental care, due to feeding conditions, calves are observed. These factors are Rotavirus, Cripto, Corona and E.koli respectively according to the prevalence. We also often encounter mix infections created by these factors in the last period. Ayvazoğlu spoke under three titles that they need to be done to reduce calves. 1. Our newborn calves must necessarily take the mouth milk we call colostrum. Kolostrum should be up to 10% of the weight of the calf for the first day. More of this rate will diarrhea our calves. The first half of this milk is important to give our calves in the first 2 hours after birth. Because our calf with this milk will take immune substances from the mother, immunglobulains, and it should not be forgotten that the choostrumun content is falling every passing hour and turns into normal milk. 2. 2. We are feeding with pepperon, not from the first 1 week mother. There are two important reasons for this. The first one may be on meme I mentioned at least before
