Ana Maria
ASAN
Belgian and Romanian artist Ana Maria ASAN holds a MFA and an MA in
Linguistics and Literature. Born in Bucharest, she started to work first in Brussels,
then internationally, as a visual and sound artist defining herself mainly as an
explorer and a poet. She teaches art and ceramics in her studio and gives lectures
especially on the SONORES project – a deep exploration of the sonorous dimension
of the fired clays. Encouraged by different prizes in Portugal, Croatia, South Korea,
China and Taiwan, her work invites us to reflect on what we are: memory.
